RIVE first came to our attention during EGX last year, leading me to write a preview piece on it. Since that time there has been very little news on the game. Now Two Tribes has released a new gameplay trailer which shows off the hacking feature as well as the crazy shooting, all in 1080p & 60fps. The game has been confirmed for PC, PS4, Xbox One & Wii U, though yesterday Two Tribes confirmed there will not be a Vita version.

There is no release date still for RIVE though it is expected to land at some point this year. The price of the game according to the press sheet will fall around the $10 mark so possibly around the £7 point within the UK.

They couldn’t get a side-scrolling shooter to work on Vita? It’s full of them! Although I appreciate it would have to be scaled back, obviously. Think it’s just people giving up on the Vita, and probably isn’t worth their while.

This is the first RIVE gameplay i’ve watched and i really like what i’m seeing, nice variety of game mechanics too.
