The first add on leader has now become available for Halo Wars 2 with that leader being Kinsano, an insurrectionist leader who once fought for independence from the Unified Earth Government for her home in the Outer Colonies. However the war that rages has forced her to join with the UNSC in a bid for survival against the incoming hostiles that would destroy everything.
Kinsano brings new units with her including Kinsano’s Cyclops that is equipped with dual flamethrowers that has the Firewall ability which incinerates all in its path. There’s also the regular Flame Warthog and the Veteran Flame Warthog, both of which are equipped with flamethrowers. The Veteran version can also shoot incendiary grenades. Veteran Hellbringers are also part of Kinsano’s unit and that can do more damage and last longer in a fight that regular Hellbringers.
Kinsano’s abilities include Helldrop where drop pods crash into the ground causing explosions before Hellbringers emerge from them. Hellcharge buffs units giving them more damage and health, as well as making them explode when they die to deal damage to the enemy. Napalm Missiles can be called in that do initial damage as well as some over time through burning enemy units and structures. Inferno is a huge scale bomb that lets forth a wave of fire causing damage over time. Other abilities include Redline which gives a small speed and damage boost to new units, Heat of Battle that buffs friendly units with increased damage resistance and output whenever they have a kill. Flame Warthog Drop drops three Veteran Flame Warthogs onto the battlefield, while Firestorm Battle Group drops a Hellbringer Squad, a Scorpion , and two Hornets as well as activating the Hellcharge ability.
The Kinsano add on is part of the season pass but can also be bought individually for the price of £4.79/$5.99 on Xbox One and Windows 10.
