Crytek has confirmed that the debut gameplay reveal trailer of Crysis Remastered will be happening on Wednesday July 1st at 5PM BST. It was back in April when the Crysis Remastered release was confirmed for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch with a release expected this summer. It is likely along with the gameplay reveal the trailer will also announce the release date for Crysis Remastered.
The remaster will focus on the game’s single player campaign, so don’t expect to see Crysis multiplayer return, and will feature remastered graphics and engine optimisations. The remaster is being co-developed by World War Z studio Saber Interactive, who’ve been in the limelight for excellent porting work on The Witcher 3 for Nintendo Switch. Together, they’ll be updating the original game with “high-quality textures and improved art assets, an HD texture pack, temporal anti-aliasing, SSDO, SVOGI, state-of-the-art depth fields, new light settings, motion blur, and parallax occlusion mapping”.
