The Ninja Gaiden franchise is well known for its brutal combat, ramped up difficulty and generally annoying camera angles. Fans of the series will be pleased to know that Tecmo Koei has announced that Ninja Gaiden 3 is on the way. No other information has been made available, barring the single picture below. The game’s protagonist – Ryu Hayabusa – is looking far more battered than usual, and seems to be covered in blood – we look forward to finding out whether or not that’s his blood or some unlucky bad guy.

Giving that Itagaki is out of the picture, I guess this time it will be released simultaneously for both the 360 and PS3.

Now that Tecmo are well shot of Itagaki, there’s no reason to believe this won’t be PS3/360 both from day one. Sadly it’ll probably mean an end to the Sigma name being used if that’s the case probably.

Not to put a dampener on this, but I really couldn’t give a flying fu-dge about Ninja Gaiden, yes it’s a good series but I want me some DOA5 news, its about time for it!
