19Alright, we have two pieces of Blu-Ray related pieces of news for you today;
First, there’s the official announcement by Toshiba that they are shutting down HD-DVD production by the end of March. You all knew that Toshiba we’re pulling out of the format war, especially you read this, but it’s nice to have official confirmation.
Secondly, Universal have wasted no time announcing that they are switching over to Blu-Ray. This means that we should start seeing things like Transformers, The Bourne Ultimatum and King Kong on Blu-Ray soon enough.
So, folks, HD-DVD is officially dead, and it’s supporters are already seeing sense switching over to Blu-Ray. It’s truly a great time for Sony.
