We don’t know whether this is the only round of emails or not, but the first batch of Home invites has just gone out – check your email to see if you’re amongst the lucky few. We think it’s Europe only at the moment, but this should expand to the States soon enough.
It’s still ‘closed’, so no discussing it on the site, please.

We told you what was happening on the site a week or so back. SCEE were selecting active members of the PSN and the Store. As for outside Europe – you had to download the Beta key from the Store in the form of a wallpaper to show interest.
SCEE’s seems to be the fairest way.

i know the US had to download the Home theme but we’ve not got that option yet right?

I have a theory, albeit a controversial one. I think Sony know that Home would bomb big time if released to the public in one go now, due to the fact public interest has waned so much because of the constant delays. So instead of just putting it out there and letting the gaming press rip it to pieces, they are stirring up a feeding frenzy of Sony users desperate to get on the closed beta. You know that whole situation – when you can’t have something you want it more and more. Fever pitch will be reached soon, and then my friends Home cannot fail to be rammed full of people when officially launched.
I cannot wait for it personally, and feverishly check my mailbox every hour to see if I have an invite. Sadly not yet, making me want it even more… and more… and more. Goddammit! see what I mean.
