According to Norwegian newspaper vg.no, comedian Harald Eia will be doing the voice over work for the introductory guide to LittleBigPlanet.  In Norway, obviously.  We’ve got Stephen Fry, but we assume this means that each country will be getting similar treatment from the lovely folks at Media Molecule.  If you’re Norwegian, you’re probably dancing around in your underpants right now.  If you are, we want to see pictures.  It’s all part of the rich tapestry of life.

  1. Nearly Naked Norweigans? Sounds like a winning website idea

  2. I didn’t know it was Stephen Fry for us, now I do.

So there was something for me here
    Cool

    • Yeah, Stephen Fry. Sorry, thought you knew.

Can’t wait for the underpant photos.

  3. Stephen Fry? Wonderful.

  4. Stephen Fry! jolly good old chap. :)

  5. What’s that? Stephen Fry in underpants? Oh. Nothing new for me here then.

  6. if stephen fry is doing the UK one…whos doing the belgian one? ;)

    • Herge? poirot?

sorry don’t know, I’ll shut up now

      • Although Jean Claude Van Damme would be pretty cool

        Now I’ll shut up

  7. I must confess that I like my games in English.

  8. I’m certain I reported Stephen Fry’s voice being in LPB ages ago…

It’s a good thing, of course, Stephen Fry is damn funny :D

  9. I will probably play the game in english (even though I can’t imagine there is much voiceacting in there), but I think Harald Eia is an excellent choice for playing the part of the sackboy helper,
as he is one of the most accomplished comedians here in Norway.

In the article Eia says that Stephen Fry will interpret the role as being a traditional english school teacher, while he himself will play it as more of a jovial buddy type of character.
He also says that when he accepted the job he had no idea that it was such an anticipated game. He was just curious about voice-acting for games, so maybe us norwegians will hear more from him in other games in the future. :D

    • Yeah, it’s a good choice but, I do prefer Stephen Fry, so I’ll probably play in English. But I will try Harald out. It would have been kick ass if Dagfinn Lyngbø would have done it. Not the way he does it in Ice Age, just the normal “askøy/bergenser” way.

  10. Didn’t Stephen Fry do the original EyeToy Play instruction video too? That was good and I love his voice so this is just another great thing about LBP in my book

  11. You can buy a Stephen Fry alarm clock that has loads of phrases recorded by him to wake you up. It’s brilliant!

  12. lol…obviously didnt take long to wikipedia ‘famous names from Belgium’

  13. nope, I’m proud to say I new all 3 of them, the 4th might require a google
