Gamefly the online games rental service from the good ol’ U S of A, has reportedly sent emails to users stating that The Agency has been “cancelled by it’s publisher”
The Gamefly email:
“Dear ****,
“We have removed The Agency (cancelled) for PlayStation 3 from your GameQ. There are two possible reasons for this removal:
“(1) For released titles, we no longer carry the game and do not know if or when we will acquire new copies.
“(2) For unreleased titles, the game has been cancelled by its publisher.
“We apologize for any disappointment this may cause. If you have any questions, please contact us.”
Sony Online Entertainment have since confirmed with ps3fanboy the project “is still alive.”
Despite snooping around on the Internet I haven’t been able to find out if this potential misinformation is the work of U.N.I.T.E. or paraGON, or if it was somebody on their first day at work pressing the wrong button.
For some (rather limited) further information about the game, check out The Agency’s website or have a look at TSA’s post about what the implications of MMO’s on consoles may be in theThe MMO’s Are Coming.

I’m gonna have to go with ps3fanboy on this one. I don’t think you would get that response to an email if it had been cancelled. Why would gamefly know about the cancellation before them.
Surely, PS3fanboy would have gotten a “no comment” reply from SOE at least if it was cancelled.

Maybe it’s going to be unavailable for rental?

You may be on to something here!
5 stars to you.
Perhaps it’s going to be subscription based?

Well, on the internet (after just 10 YEARS!!) it seems that you cant trust a thing it says… but im gona go with PS3fanboy here, it seems they (can) be reliable.
Well, with this game, the worst that could happen is that it could be a terrorist bomb, and blow up in your console when the rnig leader pushes the button, and does his evil laugh!!
*whispers* ‘haha, stupid gamers have no idea as to my plan of world domination… MWHAHAHAHAH!!’
