We reported yesterday that the only way you’ll be able to get hold of a demo of Killzone 2 is by pre-ordering it at Gamestop. Naturally, this only applied to our American readers, but thought it was worth mentioning. For everyone else, it looks like your individual SCE division will be handling the demo their own way, and for Europe that means SCEE, who, thankfully, will simply be uploading the demo to the PSN according to an official spokesperson this afternoon.
No pre-order, no nonsense. And no date, yet, but we’ll keep you in the loop.

Nofi please read what I’ve posted in the other stories and in the forum:
I think it’s all becoming a little clearer now. If you live in North America you can pre-order the game from Gamestop and receive a code for the demo that will be activated on the 5th Feb. Still in North America, if you don’t pre-order with Gamestop then the demo will be available via the PSN after the games launch. Meanwhile in Europe it looks more likely that we will get the demo on the 19th Feb, which is a Thursday, so makes the store update for that week. Ahh lovely!

Heh, I read the last line of that post as SCEE will simply be uploading it to PSN this afternoon..
Possibly the most shortlived “Yay!” this year… Still, nice to be getting it soon-ish without having to preorder.

Big money grabbing corporate retailers can go perform relations with themselves as far as I’m concerned. Go SCEE (for a change)

Demo uploaded to PSN, no fuss, no mess- that’s how it should be. Give as many people as possible the opportunity to try the game.

I was sold on this game anyway, but it’s nice to be getting a demo.

You, know what? I was actually thinking about pre-ordering the game (at the same time grab the original out of the bargain bin, don’t get me wrong, I played Liberation for the PSP, great game) just to get the demo. I had played the demo thanks to an old demo disk that I have, and I thought that it was great.
Can’t wait for my chance to pre-order it.

Good to know my fellow PS3 owners in Europe will be getting the demo. I was planning on preordering from GameStop even before the demo questions came up, so it never bothered me that it was going that way. Can not wait to try it out looks like so much fun
