SingStar Queen Details [13]

SingStar Queen is ace, but we’d imagine quite a lot of its early sales would have been from people who would much rather have the songs on the SingStore for download, saving the disk swapping and probably a few quid in the process. Er, well, sorry about that – Thursday’s SingStar update contains a fair chunk of Queen goodness, and we’d probably be safe in saying that these are the key songs from the disk version anyway. Oh, and there’s a Billy Joel song pack, too.

Andreas Johnson – “Sing For Me”
Billy Joel – “Tell Her About It”
Blur – “Good Song”
Deep Purple – “Smoke On The Water”
The Fray – “You Found Me”
Helena Paparizou – “My Number One”
Incubus – “Drive”
Modest Mouse – “Ocean Breathes Salty”
OutKast – “Roses”
Phyllis Nelson – “Move Closer”
Queen – “Bohemian Rhapsody”
Queen – “One Vision
Queen – “Bicyle Race”
Queen – “Killer Queen”
Queen – “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”
Queen – “Another One Bites The Dust”
Queen – “We Will Rock You”
Queen – “Who Wants To Live Forever”
Queen – “I Want It All”
Queen – “We Are The Champions”
Roy Orbison – “In Dreams”
Sherbet – “Howzat”

  1. The Fray! Woot

  2. Outkast yay!

Must not let my dad see the Billy Joel pack, although “We didn’t start the Fire” would be pretty awesome/hard.

    • We Didn’t Start The Fire has been on the Singstore for months – and it is awesome and hard!

  3. “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk”

Did you make that one up?

  4. I might have to buy this game just for “We Didn’t Start the Fire.”

    • “We Didn’t Start the Fire” has been up on the SingStore as a single track for quite a while now.

@rothbury Once you’ve learnt the lyrics it’s not hard to keep up with, you’ve just got to remember to take a breath between lines. :)

      • I wouldn’t know..
        But cool! :-D

      • After memorising it, it’s mainly remembering to order of the lines I find XD

      • I’ll see how much of it I can remember after a few at the weekend!

  5. Everybody get your Wayne’s World hats at the ready…

    • Yeah, not a big Queen fan but you can’t not have Bohemain Rhapsody. I hope you can have can’t not have, or is that a double negative?

      • It is a double negative but it’s meant to be. :P

  6. Aren’t those Queen tracks the ones from the two Queen track packs already on the SingStore? Maybe you’ll now be able to download them singly. I bought the two Queen packs when they came out before Xmas.

    • Yup. The Queen tracks up this week have been available as part of the packs since last year. This marks the 3rd time these songs have been released on the PS3 (4th time for Killer Queen).
The songs missing from the packs and store are still… missing.

  7. PS What’s a “Bicyle Race”? ;)

  8. *Kicks self in balls*

    I jest, I didn’t buy it.

  9. This is great, no… not just because its Queen, but have Sony finally started listening and are now including disk based songs as downloads?

Lets hope so, downloadable songs & wireless mics SingStar is finally getting next-gen

  10. Was holding off to see if this would happen. Glad I made the right choice.

  11. Again I have to say another poor turnout from Singstar.
Although I love the game the store has still only release a rare few songs from the top 10 UK chart released within the past 3 years.

Come on Singstar pick up your heels and start releasing some songs for the teens and students who buy this stuff (surely this would make more sense).

Kings of leon (aware 1 track is coming in the new pop edition)
    chris brown
    Beyonce
    Justin timberlake
    neyo
    usher
    alphabeat

just a few examples of what we should be seeing. Not stuff my mum and dad sing to. One day I guess.

    • As you said POP has Kings of Leon, also 2 Chris Brown songs and Alphabeat too. Load of other stuff that i’m sure you’ll like too, I can’t wait personally. I love some of the cheesy old stuff, but I think you’re right, the modern stuff is really lacking right now.
