Choosing to avoid any testicular wagers that some of my fellow writers may indulge in, I’m very excited for Assassin’s Creed 2. As a massive fan of the original it’s always good to hear that the development team for the sequel is now around three times larger. More people means a better game, right?

According to Produce Sebastien Puel there are around 450 people, which includes 75 per cent worked on original Assassin’s Creed. ”The team’s size for the second title of Assassin’s Creed 2 is about three times the size of the team of the first game,” said Puel before adding, “It’s a very good thing we are keeping most of the core members who envisioned.”

“Making [Assassin's Creed] from A to Z took around four years…it’s a very good thing we are keeping most of the core members who envisioned the first Assassin’s Creed. They know the project very well.” Puel went on to say that the team working on the original had “thousands of ideas” that they “didn’t implement” first time around, however many of these will now be integrated into Assassin’s Creed 2.

Expect to hear more about Assassin’s Creed 2 during E3.
