Exophase is reporting that at least one PSP unit on show at the Paris-based Japan Expo was running firmware version 5.55, an as-yet unannounced firmware. The machine in question was playing host to Soul Calibur Broken Destiny, so either Namco Bandai’s brawler requires something in 5.55 that’s not in the current hardware, or this is yet another firmware rolled out to developers but not the general public, as does happen from time to time.
No obvious changes were visible in the XMB.
