Four bronze and four silver Trophies make up what appears to be the next Killzone 2 DLC. We can’t confirm this yet until we boot up Killzone 2, but it certainly appears to be genuine, mentioning two new maps: Suljeva Cliffside and Arctower Landing, and two new weapons: The Flamethrower and The Boltgun…

Flamethrower Monkey
Kill 10 enemies in one round using the Flamethrower in Suljeva Cliffside
Suljeva Conqueror
Win a round with a minimum of 5 mission wins in Suljeva Cliffside
Boltgun Monkey
Kill 10 enemies in one round using the Boltgun in Arctower Landing
Arctower Conqueror
Win a round with a minimum of 5 mission wins in Arctower Landing
Silver
Flamethrower Junkie
Kill 20 enemies in one round using the Flamethrower in Suljeva Cliffside
Suljeva Killer
Kill 50 enemies in one round in Suljeva Cliffside
Boltgun Junkie
Kill 20 enemies in one round using the Boltgun in Arctower Landing
Arctower Killer
Kill 50 enemies in one round in Arctower Landing
Update: The pack will be called “Napalm and Petrusite”, will be out the week after next and will cost about a fiver.

If you don’t know those two weapons are in the singleplayer campaign, and are both incredibly awesome. Especially the bolt gun.

No doubt these will be limited to use as a soldier, or maybe even a level specific weapon pick up? cos otherwise it would unbalance things too much. Having said that, will the boltgun be 1 hit 1 pin to the wall kill?

Looking at the pictures an ISA Saboteur is using the bolt gun and a Helghast Medic has the flamethrower, looks like they could be allowed on a couple of the classes

I saw this on ps3trophies.co.uk, but was to lazy to post it myself. Finally atleast they’re changing how you get the trophies. Kill 5 enemies with so and so class on every map was getting monotonous. Oh, and the Boltgun in the Campaign was EPIC, but tough to aim. Still, this has already become a day one purchase for me.

Hey mate’s, I got a question for you Killzone 2 players?
I bought the Steel and Titanium DLC day one, and I found that for the first week there was mdoerate people playing it.
Unfortantely when I do a search with all parameters set to Any and the maps either wasteland bullet or vekta cruiser there is maybe 1 game available and half the time it is locked, empty, or too full. In short it seems no one or rarely people are playing with this DLC and infact the ammount of game’s for Killzone 2 online in General are very low from what I can see.
Has the user base died down to only the hardcore dedicated after the hype is all over? I personally love this game online and off and would love to buy more DLC for it but am deterred due to not even being able to get my money’s worth out of the DLC I already have.
btw Hello to my European friend’s from Canada, love this site I come here every day to get the scoop before North America gets up

I think people tend to stick to the originals but both the current DLC extra maps are good.
In the boot camp we have gone to practice the new maps but as not all members have them it leaves them out of the game.
I guess the user base will naturally die down after time but it is still very active at the moment. I though F&T pack was very good as it has a twist in the nuke explosion.
On the upcoming DLC the bolt gun had a huge range so looking forward to getting that!. Agree with others the trophies may not be so easy to get.

Was aiming to pick up Killzone very soon and all this DLC is only making it more tempting

Awesome the only thing I thought that could be improved with KZ2 online would be new weapons and they’ve given me 2 I want, just give us a dumbed down lightning gun and I’ll be happy.

KZ2 Is the gift that just keeps on giving! Seriously good news, I suppose Guerilla will be keen not to lose their FPS addicted armies to other ‘newer’ shooters out there, these additions are going to rock. Now all we need is vehicles.
