250gig PS3 Slim Bundles For The UK

MCV have confirmed the UK is to get the rumoured 250gig PS3 Slim bundles. The first batch arrive on October 1st and will include either inFamous or two games from the Platinum range. Two weeks later on October 16th the Uncharted 2 bundle will arrive. The ‘Movie’ pack previously reported by MCV also exists, but does not include PlayTV, instead, the Blu-ray bundle features ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ and ‘The Dark Knight’ as well as the official Sony Blu-ray remote.
Each pack will retail at £284.99.

£284.99 is a good price, especially with the games/movies being being included… I would have thought they’d be retailer discounting on this price as well

BLAST. Uncharted 2 Special Edition is pre-ordered, I have inFamous, and the Blu-Ray pack isn’t appealing (I own DK anyway)…
Personally, I want the FFXIII 250GB bundle coming out in Japan, but that won’t happen… – I think I’ll wait on an upgrade to a Slim.

I already have one..
Well, I got a 120GB Slim, and just stuck the 250GB drive from my old fatty in, so I got a nice new 120GB to use as an external drive. In fact, adding things up, you could get the standard slim plus free game (I got Call of Juarez-BiB) for £250 + 250GB drive for £40, which while costing £5 more than the 250GB bundle, still leaves you with an extra 120GB drive. Thats still a pretty good deal, imo…

I’ll be sticking with by original 60gb as it’s still covered under warranty, but that’s a really good deal for anyone looking to upgrade. Should give the PS3 sales figures a nice Christmas boost!!
