The next firmware update looks like it’s going to feature Facebook, according to the images below taken directly from playstation.com. Along with some kind of integration with the social behemoth, the XMB will also feature a new way to view photographs and what appears to be new colours for your Gamercards.

Interesting, huh?
Update: English screen added, text says: “Adjust settings for features in Facebook. These features are available only for users who have Facebook accounts.”

I squinted real good… and i’m a pretty good “guesser of blurry things”. (My eyesight isn’t what it used to be, so i’ve gotten good at it)

I have no interest whatsoever in the facebook integration, but the photo viewing and gamercard colour look pretty good.

Oh god no, look if you want to use faceboom, use the browser, same with twitter, we don’t need pointless new icons ruining the XMB (same can be said for the duplicate PS Store icons).

I agree about the extra Store icons, but in accordance to Twitter and Facebook applications, I think that the more functionality and accessibility the better.

I hope the option to colour the gamercard is what colour all users appear on your PS3, rather than what colour YOUR card appears on everyone else’s!
If you thought the grey friends list looked bad, wait for the multiple-coloured version!
