Xbox 360 Gets Social Today

Today, November 17th, is the day that the Xbox 360 gets updated with Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm and instant-on 1080p HD video. Apparently there’s no need for a system update, too, the new features will just ‘be there’ at some point today. I’m yet to get hands-on with these new features, although judging by the size of the beta I’m probably the only one who hasn’t!
Going above and beyond the PlayStation 3′s recently announced Facebook integration, the Xbox Live version will allow friend invites over the social network and allow you to browse your friends directly from your 360′s Dashboard. Likewise, the Twitter app will allow reading, posting and replies in a cool little app that sits on the 360 interface. We’ll have hands on soon.
