So, we got a name, we saw some games and we heard some guys talk about it. But what you really want to do is look at it. Well, you’re in luck because I’ve got some pictures. Here is what the Move and the snappily-titled Sub Controller look like.

They say each one is worth a thousand words so that’s um… six thousand words I’ve just written. I’m tired after all that, g’night!

    • On the back of the ‘sub controller’, there certainly appears to be a flap for batteries.

Though I’d be surprised if they weren’t rechargeable, like just about every other PS3 accessory.

      • I suspect the batteries will probably outlast the controller. My original launch SIXAXIS is still going strong. The sticks/buttons will probably break before the battery needs replacing.

      • Not 100% sure, as I’m not a motion control fan, but as I’ve said elsewhere, the demos upgraded my interest from ‘none’ to ‘significant’.

The accuracy is quite phenomenal, and I honestly believe it offers much wider scope for game control than the Wii does, or Natal will.

      • I’m worried the back of the sub looks distinctly AA sized.

      • Ok I take it back, I’ve just seen the tech spec article!

    • it looks, to me (and I’m probably wrong, call this a speculative theory) like the bottom might screw off both units. They’ve got that “plastic join” groove in them.

My 2-year-old Sixaxis are both starting to drain their charge a bit quicker now but I’m privately quite happy about that because I want DS3s. I wish I’d bought the blue ones when I was in San Francisco now :(

  1. Not bad. Not bad at all.

  2. nice ;)

  3. Great, i’ll sleep sound now knowing at last what the subcontroller looks like, ;) G’night.

  4. Real nice design. Well done guys.

  5. I wonder of they’ll have the little accessories that you can stick your controller into. Like a gun shell, golf club, bat, etc…

I’m also glad to see that there’s a hole on the back of the ‘sub controller’ (so creative) for a wrist strap, I was wondering why they’d only have the strap for the ‘Move’ itself.

  6. *sigh’s*
Even after seeing the controller at GDC and loving it ……….It still look’s like a bingo pen ….

  7. Got to say, i love both!

  8. Move? Sub Controller? who comes up with these genius names!

  9. Cool Beans…..

    Quite swish these Move Tools
