Dark Energy Digital’s water-centric game has been something of an enigma. It sparks rabid interest every time we see a screen or hear another detail about it but that information is rare. So, imagine our delight when we got our hands on a raft of new screens, released in preparation for E3, showing some of the fairly impressive visuals on offer.

Take a look for yourself and let us know what you think.

  1. Honestly, I don’t think the graphics look very impressive at all. Lots of games already out that look far better I think.

    • What’s weird is that the visuals looked great last year but other titles have definitely caught up. The water now looks decidedly average. Arses. Still, ignoring all of that, it can still be a stunning game.

    • Just what i thought

    • I agree.. most games these days have better water than that, not to mention the cheesy looking player models.

    • I agree, I’m sure the water and fire simulations are excellent but I think they should have perhaps sold them to a ‘physics engine producing company’ rather then trying to make a game out of them.

  2. As screenshots go, this lot seems average. But it’s all about how it looks in motion anyway, so I’ll wait a video at E3.
    Still, it seems interesting enough.

  3. had a strange half life vibe looking at these

    • agreed. not only does the water and fire look super dated.. the player models look cheap and average as well.

  4. Is this multi-platform ? Has yet another title had it’s graphics dumbed down for the Xbox ?
    this is ridic’

  5. That water and fire combination reminds me of the opening of BioShock.

    • agreed, although it was significantly prettier there than in these screens.

  6. This is 360 exclusive isn’t it?

    • yeah, it is. unless the devs change their mind though

    • think it’s xbox exclusive for a little while yeah. Edge had a good feature about this a few months back, looks very interesting and if the fluid dynamics is as good as it’s purported to be it may well be very cool. licence it out too and lets get a schweet kayaking game pls :D

  7. doens’t look very pretty. and she has a rather dumb expression on her face. probably prince of persia’s sister or something.

  8. Main character reminds me of Jade from BG&E…

    • I agree I thought that too but i brushed it off as my unwavering need to BG&E2

  9. For a download only title, the graphics are amazing I think, plus I’m sure it was announced a while ago that it was coming to the PS3. It probably will do anyway, how many 360 ‘exclusives’ stay exclusive these days?
