EA have just let TheSixthAxis know that Dead Space 2 will get a special edition on the PlayStation 3. “An exclusive Limited Edition of Dead Space 2 will be released on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system,” says the press release.
The Limited Edition will include Dead Space Extraction, the prequel to the entire Dead Space saga and previously only on Wii, which will now come with support for the PlayStation Move motion controller.
“Launching January 28th 2011,” the PR continues, “Dead Space 2 will unleash a truly epic Action Horror experience that will bring the psychological thrills of deep space to a terrifying new level.”

This is one of the particularly wonderful exclusive deals Sony has managed to snag. I always wanted to play Dead Space: Extraction, and now I have the perfect excuse to do so!

That’s a massive coup for Sony, very cool, hope it’s competitively priced.

If that turns out to be true, I’d rather they jazz up the PS1 MoH games to go with the new version.

So is it more expensive with DS:E, or just the same price as DS2?

Wow, great exclusive. I imagine like all special editions it will be more expensive though, much like the HD remake of COD recently.
