Games To Get You Moving

How good Move will finally be will be down to its games line up. You can have the greatest technology in the world but you’ll still need something decent to play.

We’ve known about some of the games for a while now and more have slipped out since yesterday, like Heavy Rain.

Sony issued a full list of Move compatible games this morning – they will either be Move enabled from launch or will receive a free patch. It’s not clear which region the release dates are for, but the list is below.

September 2010

  • Sports Champions
  • EyePet
  • Kung Fu Rider
  • Start the Party!
  • Echochrome 2 (PSN)
  • Tumble (PSN)
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11
  • Toy Story 3: The Video Game
  • The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest
  • Brunswick Pro Bowling
  • Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition
  • Time Crisis: Razing Storm
  • R.U.S.E.

October 2010

  • Hustle Kings
  • Pain! (PSN)
  • TV SuperStars
  • The Fight: Lights Out™
  • The Shoot
  • High Velocity Bowling (PSN)
  • Heavy Rain
  • Kung-Fu Live
  • NBA 2K11

November 2010

  • The Sly Collection
  • SingStar Dance
  • LittleBigPlanet 2
  • Deadliest Catch: Sea of Chaos
  • Tron Evolution

Fall 2010

  • Beat Sketcher (PSN)
  • SOCOM 4
  • John Daly’s ProStroke Golf
  • Racquet Sports

2011

  • Sorcery
  • Heroes on the Move
  • Killzone 3

There are some noticeable absentees from the list, like EA Sports Active 2, but it’s enough for me to be one of the first in the queue come launch day.

  1. Alot of good games this year at or just after release!

  2. Flower’s notably absent from that list. I hope it’s still gonna get patched, it’s really the only game I thought the new peripherals would lend themselves to.

  3. Dissapointed I can’t see Motion Fighter. That looked pretty good.

  4. im getting move day one and gonna get socom 4 and lbp 2 im not that interested in the casual games

  5. I wish Sorcery was a launch game!

Although I’ll be getting Move I can’t see any game there thats gonna make people rush out and buy it. Its simply mini-games or slightly dodgy Wii upgrades (The Shoot I’m looking at you…) or failing that, re-releases of games we already have just with Move support.

Sony should really have had a game like Sorcery or Killzone out to boost Move’s lineup cause atm, apart from Sports Champions, i wont have much to play with in the first couple of months.
