Ghost of Sparta is from the same creative team as the last PSP God of War, and picks up after the conclusion of the first PS2 game, telling the story of Spartan warrior Kratos’ ascension to power. Ghost of Sparta, says the pres release, will combine “intense action, a fresh storyline, stunning graphics, and depths of scale never-before-seen on the portable platform”.
In the game, Kratos finds that his new powers are not enough to stop the nightmares and to free himself of the ghosts that haunt his memories, he must embark on a journey that will “reveal the origins of lost worlds and answer long-awaited questions about his dark past”, armed with the deadly Blades of Athena.
Expect a new, enhanced melee system and something called Combat Rush, an augmented death system, new moves and new weapons such as the Spear and Shield. There’s also bigger bosses, more enemies on-screen and new navigation types. This video, if you’re not already sold (you crazy fool) should be the icing on the cake.
