More final-er than ever before.

16You know Sony had a good conference when they can drop a new Final Fantasy XIV trailer and we barely mention it in our chat round-up. Check out the new footage below and marvel at the improved graphics (since the last build) and the collection of charming – albeit probably deadly – characters.
This is actually an extended version (we think) of what was shown at yesterday’s conference. So, even if you think you’ve seen this, we recommend giving it a whirl for some extra pixie-eared goodness. Either that I missed something during the keynote. It’s definitely possible. After all, my feed did do more loops than a half-pissed Red Arrows pilot.

I said this on the live chat but I’ll say it again, I think this brings back what Final Fantasy has been missing for a long time….. fantasy. It’s my all time favourite game series and I feel that for a long time there’s just been nothing to connect to or a nice big open world to explore maybe even on an airship. That would be nice.

FFXI had that same feeling! Huge world, lots of areas and stroylines to explore and experience… I miss it sometimes…

The universe looks as if it is set in the worlds similar to Final Fantasy IX.
It’ll be a great game to play, one that I’ve always been waiting for.

Is everyone who is in the BETA already informed? I signed up for it, but haven’t heard anything yet.
Been playing some FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX lately on my PSP, really great games and they all feel different.
I really like the materia system of VII, the junction system of VIII, and the cuteness of Vivi while he is packing a lot of power in IX (the story is great and it looks good on my PSP)

Sweet Jebus, backto the FF we all know and love. Ive still got to finish the last FF . If its out before Fallout New Vegas then it may get a chance to be played.
