20Because we know you like the news “now” (and the fact that we can ninja edit this article later over some hot cocoa, caressing its sentences and paragraphs like a Renaissance maestro lovingly polishing his latest masterwork) here’s the big news from EA’s conference happening right now over at Gamescom.
Mass Effect 2 is coming to the PS3 in January 2011.

I’m currently playing this on the xbox, about 20 hours in and still so much more to do. It’s absolutely awesome!

That’s not true, more stuff happens in the first one than in the second one, not sure why they’ve omitted it ..

Heh, I bought two copies of the first one, along with a pair of 360 Elites, when I got slightly drunk and credit card happy on Amazon one Christmas (a combination of a weak will and One Click Purchasing – and alcohol). It’d be nice to get to play Mass Effect legitimately for a change!

Yeah you’re right about that, just checked my game box. Hopefully they’ll do something about it though, and not just throw us straight into ME2 ..

Just double checked that, Microsoft only published the 360 version. EA did indeed publish the PC version, so it could still happen..

Exactly what i thought….Whats the point in releasing a sequal game and not the 1st one, surely the story rolls on, and the people who don’t have a 360 wouldn’t of played ME1???

If you read the rumour article they said they expected it to come with Mass Effect so there may still be more to the story…

Thats great news, Got both Mass Effects on my PC and the graphics, story and Gameplay are all superb. Can’t wait to play this on my PS3 and get the Platinum for it :)

This is good news, but I had hoped they’d port over first one with it. It ties in, and whilst the second one does a great job of filling in the story, you don’t get to make the decicions you do in the first. But I’m still living in the hope!
