So you’ve held on to your copy of Heavy Rain, waiting patiently for the Move update. “Why buy the Move Edition, when the patch will be free?” you ask. Well it looks like there’s actually a bit more in the Heavy Rain Move Edition than we already knew of: David Cage has revealed that the rerelease includes “about 45 minutes of extra video content that’s really interesting”.
“We dedicated all of the Heavy Rain team to this extension, so it’s not really something we did cheap,” said Cage in an interview with gamesindustry.biz. “We did it right, we’ve added a lot of content, there is about 45 minutes of extra video content that’s really interesting. The team has done a really great job of this version, it’s something we really, really worked on.”
The regular edition of Heavy Rain currently retails for around £25, and will receive a free patch to add Move compatibility later this month. The Move Edition will release the same day as Move itself and will retail at £39.99, but will contain extra content. Oh and if you’re thinking of trading up, the regular edition goes for about £20 on eBay. Decision time ladies.

SOunds like more “behind the scenes” vids to me. I’ll stick with the original and patch.

Never got the chance to buy the original due to lack of funds, so I’ll definitely buy the Move Edition once I get my hands on the Move, which will most likely be around Christmas probably. Looking forward to it.

I was thinking the same thing but seeing as I can pick up the old one for £20 and then get the move patch, the real question is; Is the extra 45 minutes worth £15.
I suspect not

Same here. But I’m curious to see what the extra 45 min is though. Maybe I’ll hold out and pay the little extra.

What exactly is the extra 45 minutes, game play or the rather vague video content? If its video content (read another 20 endings) then i think i can live without it and stick to my patched version… however if its extra game play, like the DLC back stories they put ‘on hold’ to work on this then i will be a bit miffed! Talking of the patch is it timed to release with the Move or slightly later?
Seems like a lot of originally announced patches for the move etc have a catch somewhere…. oh well there is always Start the Party.

So will this additional content ever be available as DLC for the patched standard edition?

So the Move Edition is more of a Directors Cut?

If it was 45 minutes of extra gameplay then maybe, but 45 minutes of interesting video?? think I’ll give it a miss

I pre-ordered a Move yesterday.
I know. I’m a bad person. And a hypocrite. But it was sooo cheap! I couldn’t resist :(
I traded in Heavy Rain recently having not got time to play it properly and the Move Edition is being sold here rather cheap on pre-order so will be a good opportunity for me to re-buy it.

They did announce a while ago that there was a load of content that they didn’t put in because of censor restraints, maybe they have managed to get that back in?
