System 3 has announced an exclusive downloadable Ferrari racer for the PSN. Titled ‘Ferrari The Race Experience’, the game will be releasing on September 29th for £11.99 (or £9.99 if you own 2008 racer ‘Ferrari Challenge’ and apply for a redemption code). The trailer below doesn’t really give much away, but we know the game will feature the (slightly combustible) 458 Italia, as well as the 599XX – and more cars are promised. The game also features three handling engine settings – assisted, arcade and simulation.
Now normally when a game is announced so close to its release we get slightly concerned – but System 3 has a habit of producing solid racing games, so we expect to be pleasantly surprised.

Supercar Challenge was very good. Nice change from all the arcade racers about. If F1 wasn’t out this week then it would be a possible buy. Not a good time to be releasing racing games at the moment with F1 and GT5 out in 6 weeks or so.

My thoughts exactly, but wow!, that looks seriously good for a PSN title. 2010…best year ever for a racing game fan and early 2011 has a few pleasant surprises too :)

it does look extremely good, until the cars got damaged, i wasnt sure if its real life video… but its probably CG and not game-engine

if you played there last two games you would not get to hyped for this as both previous games were a mess…they had more bugs and there support was crap took over a year to final get rid of the game bugs and make the game playable….

I hope in this game it won’t be like driving through treacle with brakes made from wood and hope. Like Supercar Chalenge was… Disappointing game, that. Still, F1 2010 out tomorrow, will tide me over until GT5.

Ferrari challenge is excellent , I picked it up recently its basically gt5 but the graphics though brilliant are just a notch down from Gt . If you like Gt games then it or super car challenge should be in your collection. Need for speed fans need not apply .
