The king is dead – long live the king! After tasting sweet success in last weeks UK charts, Halo: Reach has been knocked off by Codemaster’s F1 2010. TSA’s review of F1 2010 was very positive, although there have been mutterings on Twitter about bugs and game crashes – how has your F1 experience been?
Dead Rising 2 comes in at a respectable third place, while Civilization V comes in at four. Sports Champions falls ever so slightly, although Move only games ‘Start The Party’ and ‘Racket Sports’ climb (but not enough to enter the top 20). The latest Guitar Hero game comes in at six – a far cry from the guaranteed number one spot the franchise used to get, and MMO Final Fantasy XIV rounds off the top ten.

I’ve met the bug/feature in F1 2010, when in the pits you are held back until just about everyone else has pitted and gone past, so if you went in the pits in first you’d come out near the back. It’s not massive, you just have to pit out of sequence, but it’s a pain.

Seriously annoyed with Shopto at this point, they’re just messing me around getting me to sign forms and sort a declaration from royal mail before they’ll consider sending a replacement :(

But you realise that ShopTo re-sending after just 3 days is pretty exceptional… I can’t think of anywhere else that does it. Most will ask you to wait 14 days before you can ask for a replacement.
Signing the form isn’t too big a deal (so long as you can scan the signed form back in and email it)… Not sure why you’d need a declaration from RM, though. They just did it no questions asked when I had issues last time.
Did you go with plain First Class, or Recorded?
Aaanyway, if it doesn’t show up today, for me, then I’ll be getting shopto to send a replacement to me too.

I probably should have gone for recorded, but went with first class.
I suppose its decent service, I’m just used to no questions asked when things go wrong and get wound up by postal problems far too easily :)

I havnt had any bugs in the game so far in F1 2010, but there is definitely room for improvement with regards to things like penalties, and replay/camera options when online rather than having to sit looking at a very unhelpfull time screen for the length of the race or qualifying if you crash your car or get disqualified. Apart from that though, im loving the game! It’s a lot of fun online with a group of good people, especially when people are using headsets, and you can have some really fun races with plenty of ways to vary things like the dynamic weather, qualifying and the preset game modes. Also im enjoying the singleplayer, and trying to beat my targets set by my team. The game has so far been good to me, and im very happy with it :)

wow, Halo Reach knocked off top spot after 1 week! Thats can be seen as either amazing acheivement by F1 2010 or poor sales for Halo Reach – although I do suppose this counts multi plat together.

F1 2010 is epic, no bugs or crashes for me. Steering wheel (Driving Force GT Pro) works great with it but only 180 degrees of turn, not 900 – but i suppose that is correct for an F1 car.

there was one f1 left in asda for £35 when i was in there yday but i didnt get as i did want the game to be split screen so ill wait til it comes down in price. lol at reach being overtaken on the second week and how is prince of persia still in top ten?
