Channel 5 Bringing ‘Demand Five’ To PS3?

According to ‘Media Week’, Channel 5 is in talks with Sony to bring its Demand Five catch-up TV service to the PS3.  You can currently watch Demand Five through the PS3’s web browser, but an actual application would make for a much better user experience.

This is frankly terrifying for me.  The wife already watches far too much ‘Neighbours’ and ‘Home and Away’.  If she finds out there’s a catch-up service I’m afraid that’ll be the end of me.  Sad times my friends.

    On a similar topic, has anyone had problems with the iPlayer recently? I can no longer watch anything on it as there is no option to start the videos playing…

    • I had that problem the other day id select a program but then there was no start button but the next day everything had been rectified and all was well with the world.

    • Try deleting the cache and history as thats what worked for me

      • I do that after every session thats maybe what sorted mine although it may have just been a fault worth a try

    • I had this problem, deleting cookies worked for me. Restart iplayer after deleting.

  5. Yay, can’t wait to be able to watch all of the quality programmes that I currently watch on Five….

    • Can’t wait to watch White Van Man,Traffic Cops and 10 year old episodes of CSI amy time I like

  6. Will it be like the early days of channel 5 where only a few people could get a signal and it was all fuzzy?

    Only watch channel 5 for Police Interceptors, Fifth Gear and The Gadget Show. Any add on for the PSN can only be a good thing though, can’t it?

  7. I contacted ITV recently and they told me PS3 ITV Player will be with us before the end of the year.

    • Really? Surely that’s worth a news article in itself!

    • No. The site works but 90% of the content wont play due to a “This content is not licensed for your location” message. X-Factor doesnt work for a start.

  9. Only watch 5 for The Gadget Show …. 4OD would be more welcome

  10. They could sell classic episodes through the movie store instead…. this is better since Five has nothing but two shows.
