Follwing the lead-up to this year’s VGA ceremony? Then it’s likely you have spotted two images circulating the internet regarding a certain unannounced title, set to be revealed at the event later this month. The third in this series of teaser images has launched today, and though it may be in the same zombified/infected vain as the previous two, subtle details have caused many to believe that it may not be promoting the next Left 4 Dead or Resident Evil.

Etched beneath the “We’re Here To Help!”  mantra are the following phrases:

Don’t Ever Leave The Green Zone!

All persons are forbidden to enter or leave any zones without the permission of the chief health officer under penalty of the law.

Murder Your Maker

Most interesting is the final phrase; last month Activision launched a teaser site for Murder Your Maker, which showed an image of a bald figure watching over monitors in a dark room. It could well be a new IP from the publishing giant but to me it definitely sounds related to last year’s sandbox slasher, Prototype. Set in New York, players assumed the role of Alex Mercer, a scientist infected with a symbiotic virus allowing him to morph his body into the ultimate weapon. To an extent there were “zombies” in Prototype, and plenty of military presence, though their primary function wasn’t to protect the city’s populace.

Either way, we will find out when the VGAs air on Decemeber 11th.

  1. MMMM BRAIINS…
My guess is: Resident Evil MMO or RPG or both
Choose your faction: Survivor (that’s where the “green zone” comes in) or zombie (GRAIIIINS… I mean BRAIIINS), main objective: kill your maker.

  2. Zombies seem to be everywhere at the moment.
The Walking Dead is rather good.

    • Do Activision do new IPs? I thought they just do Call of Duty, Guitar hero and Tony Hawk these days

      • Activision have other games beside COD ?!:P

      • considering the latest Tony Hawk only sold 3,000 copies, I think we can assume they’re done with that one.

  5. I loved Prototype! I don’t think this is related though, there don’t seem to be any strong similarities in either tone or subject matter. Shame it isn’t L4D 3, but new IP’s are always welcome as well so I’m looking forward to finding out more about this!

    • I really didn’t Prototype. The set-up and navigation was good, but the combat was absolutely pants.

      • Wanted to love Prototype, but didn’t – merely enjoyed it enough to finish it.

      • I was at around the second-last mission, but I couldn’t even bring myself to finish the game.

      • Couldn’t even finish the second mission. Think you can just try and love a game to much at times.

      • Fair enough! It does get a bit stale later on, I had a massive sadistic grin on my face for most of the game though.
