We’ve all heard the saying “the best things come to those who wait”. It’s nice enough in theory, but counts for nought when lucky Xbox 360 owners have been ploughing through Mass Effect 2 and DLC for months now. BioWare are planning to make it worth the wait for PS3 owners, and have a number of improvements in store. Game producer Jesse Houston had the following to say:
“One of the first things you’re going to see is improved graphics. We actually created the engine for Mass Effect 3 and used that to make Mass Effect 2 PS3. So we took the content, the story and all of the other assets that made up Mass Effect 2 and we put it into the Mass Effect 3 engine.
We’ve also gone ahead and made the experience much more solid on PS3, so for example the controls are geared towards the PS3 controller [although] you can switch it back to the old Xbox [layout] if you like. Other things like planet scanning have been improved; we’ve rolled up all of the patches; done a whole bunch of bug fixing.”
Add that to all the premium DLC that will be included on the disk, and one of 2010s best games might also be one of 2011′s.

How many hours are expected to be spent on the game? If it’s too much I may miss it as I can only possibly rent games atm

This is unexpected. I can’t wait for the demo to come out. I would not be surpised if it crashes PSN.
Bioware has three excellent games out next year.

I’m not even going to think about checking the BioWare forums since this news has come to light. There will be blood.

The Xbox fanboys will not like it of the PS3 version is better. On almost every other site I go on, when the PS3 version of ME2 is mentioned the comments section is flooded by xbox fanboys saying it will suck.

Interesting, may be enough to make up for wait. Although I was happy with the PC version
