Microsoft wasn’t the only one flexing their network muscle on stage during CES; Sony announced that the PlayStation Network now has 60 million accounts created. I personally try not to get too caught up in the whole ‘which network has more users’ debate because I don’t think we can ever be 100% sure how they’re measured.
If I were to venture a guess, I would say that this figure probably also includes those on PSP and the official PlayStation website. Even if that were true, 60 million is still a mighty large figure and I doubt you’ll have issues finding people to play with on-line.

Whilst people are arguing that it includes multiple accounts, it of course does, but we don’t make the same claims with anything else. I know a lot of people that have bought multiple 360s/PS3s but the same discussion is not had then.
There are 60 millions PSN accounts, whether some people have more than one is irrelevant.

I’ve got 4 accounts and I’m sure most other people have multiple accounts too.

60 million accounts- but only1,742 mics. Also in Sony’s terms all those duplicate accounts count because people still use them to download from the store, or access the PSN, and I’m betting mostly all contain at least 1 trophy. We may only use 1 account at a time, but Sony is still responsible for them all, so I say let the 60 million accounts count stand.
