Another one bites the dust. We knew it was a possibility, but according to the latest edition of EGM (February’s edition), Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford has now confirmed that xenomorphophiles will have to wait another year before suiting and booting with some like-minded military types, as the Sega published Aliens: Colonial Marines will not make an appearance in 2011.
Other highlights from this month’s Electronic Game Monthly include how 007 Nightfire was originally based on You Only Live Twice, and a whopping 6.5/10 review score for Gran Turismo 5. Yikes!

I can’t remember if CM was the Alien first person or action RPG. The latter would have been pretty awesome IMO.

A:CM is the squad based FPS by Gearbox.
Aliens RPG was by Obsidian and got a plasma round to the face.

Apaz the gave Gran Turismon Prologue 8.5 and LBP1 a 10. LBP2 only gets 8.5 despite being universally lauded as better than LBP1.

That’s a shame, I have been dying to play this ever since it was first whispered in hushed tones! Still, its not been cancelled and that’s the main thing (I hope!). Also, what a ridiculous review of GT5. It is certainly not perfect, but it is pretty bloody good.

GT5 gets 6.5/10. It shows they clearly don’t know what they are talking about. Glad I don’t read that excuse for toilet paper.

I’m a bit gutted about this as it’s one title I was really looking forward to. :(
