Fable III To Launch On Steam

In a surprising bit of news this morning, Microsoft announced that Fable III will be launching on Steam. They won’t be turning their back on their own digital distribution service, however, as it will also launch on the Games for Windows Marketplace.

Here’s where it gets confusing. Both digital outlets will get a different free bonus along with the game. If you purchase the game via Microsoft’s marketplace, you’ll get the ‘Fable: Lost Chapters’ game which is a slightly larger version of the original Fable. Steam users will be able to claim the ‘Rebel’s Weapon & Tattoo Pack’. Of course, you can also nab the physical copy if you’re not the downloading type.

All three versions will be launching on May 20 for somewhere around £34.99.

  1. Steam irony?

  2. £34.99, not worth it, this was worse then Fable 2, a disappointing game to say the least

  3. Never from with fable, find it a bore. Played them a bit on my mates 360 and could not understand the hype.
