LIMBO’s PS3 Secrets Exposed

In our blog yesterday morning we said that the PS3 version of LIMBO was just as good as the Xbox 360 version, but moaned that any additional content wasn’t really making itself known. Turns out that there is an additional area and Trophy, probably more a requirement of Sony’s publishing regulations than anything else. But, hey, it’s there.

But how do you get to it? Well, it’s going to take a little bit of work.

First up, you’ll need to have found all the other secret little orbs that accompany the game’s Trophies. The glowing white eggs are found off the beaten path and normally require a bit of hunting – the YouTube video below (SPOILERS) will show you all the ones in the 360 version. From there, it’s just finding the PS3 exclusive one.

The key to the PS3 exclusive bit is where you got the ‘Alone in the Dark’ Trophy in the last section. It’s one of the hardest to get (you’ll need to fumble around in pitch darkness) but just keep on walking from there (and you’ll need all the other eggs, remember) and a door will close – that’s the new PS3 area…

There’s also a new Trophy there too.

  1. I already have the 360 version of this but I really had to hold myself back from picking up the PSN version last night (support the smaller devs an’all that…) Great little game.

    • Same, but I’m broke at the moment, knowing me I’ll struggle to make it through the weekend without buying it! :) Especially as I wasn’t too impressed with the Bastion demo, now I’ve got £10 burning a hole in my pocket..

      • Yeah I didn’t really get on with Bastion either. I would imagine I will cave and buy Limbo once I plat Infamous2 to make the wait for Resistance that little less painful lol ;)

  2. Was going to buy it, judging by some of the comments on here and twitter but decided against it after watching a trailer on the mrs’s xbox. That spider freaked the crap out of me. No way man!

  3. Chillingly beautiful, played about 1/4 of it last night but was foiled by a one-legged spider. :)

    • Your pulling my leg!

    • Oh jeez that leg killed me at least 20 times

      • Me too. But when you work the puzzles out its beyond satisfying….

  4. Bought it yesterday when i came home from Work and finished the same day.
it’s only 49 MB, there is no color, hardly any sound or soundtrack, no voices it can be finished in a few hours…

and it’s WORTH EVERY CENT! What a great game. :-D

    • And worth every penny around these parts.

  5. I have literally just finished the secret area … holy crap, it’s sooo difficult.

  6. So much for “exclusive content”…

  7. My backlog of games is too much as it is, I go away on Saturday for 2 weeks and I’ll get around to downloading the demo when I get home.

  8. After playing the demo last night, I had to buy it. And I must say, the death-animations are rather gruesome.

  9. not had a chance to play it yet going bye the comments here i will just buy it

  10. I’ve played it and I dont think it’s worth shelling out a tenner for it’s decent but just not my cup of tea
