Metal Gear Solid 3 HD Gameplay Footage Looks Delicious

Om nom nom nom.

Konami has released a video walkthrough that shows gameplay footage from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD. Sean Eyestone from Kojima Productions highlights various elements that have been improved upon for the HD re-release.

The first thing you’ll notice is just how good the game looks. There doesn’t seem to be a single jagged edge anywhere in sight. It’s going to be awesome playing MGS3 at 60 frames per second. The collection is worth buying just for that reason alone. Let’s just hope Konami doesn’t pull a Silent Hill 2 on us by making Naked Snake sound like Mickey Mouse.

Naked Snake with a Mickey Mouse voice? That… would actually be awesome.

“Shot you in the butt with a tranquilizer, haha!”

I really hope that Konami doesn’t go Silent Hill 2 or i will go all Metal Gear on them.*gets into Metal Gear Rex*

I remeber causing so much chaos with the hornets nests. It was always fun to shoot one down onto of an enemy and let them do the work. :D I will try to get this even if i have to do a big boss. :)

I’m probably the only one thinking this, but if this is how good MGS looks…I cannot wait to see what they do with Zone of the Enders :D

    I always wonder…
What’s the best order to play MGS in?
Because the games don’t flow in a chronological order, I always wonder, now that they are all out, what order should they be played in?

      Def MGS, MGS2, MGS3, MGS4.

On second playthrough of the saga i will do MGS3, MGs, MGS2, MGS4, but if you are a newcomer then you have to start from the beginning to get the whole story and in jokes.

That said i never played the originals, which will be in this collection

Chronological order: MGS3, MGS Peace Walker, MG, MG2: Solid Snake, MGS1, MGS2, MGS4.
But play them in the order they were released, if you can getpast some of the horrificness in MG1 and 2.

you forgot about metal gear solid portable ops (not to be confused with metal gear acid) which is also a part of the series and comes before peace walker

Are you upset that Limbo came to the PS3?

Forget Limbo, this is a level of Bioshock or Mass Effect.
And believe me, Bioshock is worth the loss of pretty much every PS3 exclusive, save for Wipeout and maybe Uncharted.

I’ve yet to play an MGS game, I’ve just never got around to it. Reckon I could play through them now and still enjoy them?
