A multiplayer reveal trailer of Modern Warfare 3 has been released, showing guns, knives, broken glass and some dog tags (I think!).

So…what do you think?

  1. I don’t know it looks a bit boring compared to BF3 even the trailers look like that game will be a lot of fun but that is just my opinion

  2. 3XCITING.

  3. Look really boring and just a reskin of MW2 from my honest opinion. I’ll be giving it a go though, CoD 1,2 and 4 were all great games, hope it lives up to them.

    • Sorry for the negativity but that’s how I feel, and since every negative comment seems to be getting hated on, is that so bad? It’s my opinion :)
I am looking forward to the single player though. Story should be interesting.

      • you didnt mention bf3 so your comments = win haha, especially given the amount og time you put into BC2

      • I have a scary amount of time in that game!

      • nothing wrong with you’re negativity, but if you don’t like it,don’t buy it…. I always get this feeling that people who slate cod pretty much like cod but it doesn’t suit there needs…kind of liking a women but trying to change it to suit you’re needs,

      • Dude, I like CoD! At least the older one anyway, but it’s left me behind with the latest iterations. I can twitch shoot with the best of them (K/D ratio of 2.4 online on blop’s, 4.2 on MoH, 1.6 BC2), but it’s just not for me anymore, got a little boring on the multiplayer side of things. As long as theres a coherent story in MW3, I’ll be happy.

  4. Here’s the BF3 version to compare

    • great! have you got any videos to compare gt5 with need for speed while you’re posting these,

  5. Hmm would like to see some pure gameplay first before making my mind up, but probably won’t buy it till next year anyway.

  6. Well, i think whoever isn’t this games target audience (like myself) should stop complaining about innovation, originality and blablabla because no media can ever be expected to innovate all the time, and if you cant understand it then it isn’t fair to comment on it (also like myself). Like the Japanese and Monster Hunter, wars and shooting is something that resonates very, very well with Western audiences. Just shut up and wait for Journey :3.

  7. As the franchise increases it gets harder and harder to take big risks. It happens in all manner of media, from music to games to films. Upsetting the fanbase is one hell of a risk and Activision know how to play to the masses.

If there was so much wrong with the franchise then people wouldn’t buy it. Just because some gamers can’t get along with it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t at least try to be mature enough to deal with it being the biggest selling title year in, year out.

Grow up, enjoy your games and leave others to enjoy theirs. Stop the snide remarks and respect everyone else here. It’s a game. Remember? A game. People aren’t really dying. We haven’t lost a loved one. All of us have beds to sleep in; warm food to eat; clothes.

To even see the start of a few ill-thought-through comments on these pages is saddening to say the least but there we go. Hopefully, in time, those people will change too.

    • Well said. However it does make interesting reading. Fanboy\fangirl as the word is used now will never die as there will always be someone saying “my one is better than your one” The old days with commodore v spec, nes v sega, amiga v atari st, leading upto ps3 v xbox and iphone v android. Now it follows into games COD V BF3. I try to stay away from making comments that some may take offence but as I said it all makes interesting reading.

      • It does, fella. It’s psychologically fascinating but sadly it comes coupled with the despair when reading true fanboy-fuelled comments. Thankfully, TSA suffers very little with it and will hopefully continue to do so.

      • bunimomike you are a legend, you’ve come out with a down to earth polite response that sums everything up about not liking and liking a game all in one!

    • Whilst i agree it gets harder to take big risks with such an established franchise, i don’t think MW needs to. It is after all very popular for a reason.

In my opinion the only things that would need fixing to lift this series to gaming perfection are obvious balancing issues (melee from 100 yards away in MW2 – shite) and give us dedicated servers for PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – nothing more annoying than shooting someone five times in the head with a shotgun, only to see them stab you in the nuts and run off!!!

  8. Rental for campaign. That is all.

  9. Looks amazing, can’t wait for this! :D

  10. looks awesome!! ewxcept one of those maps looks very familier very simular to one of the mw2 maps

    • Yeh, at a glance i thought the middle eastern levels layout was very similar to Karachi from MW2.
