It’s a beautiful sight, isn’t it? All these new games populating a chart that has been dominated by Zumba for the last 50 or so years. Our brand new number one is Dead Island, which hasn’t had the best launch in the world, but people seem to be enjoying it. We gave it 7/10 in our review.
Warhammer coming in at number two is great news, and you’ll see why in our review at 5pm today. Resistance 3 does well, cracking the top five, and Star Fox makes the top ten.
NEW GAMES! Arrrrrgh!

Well done to DI, but disappointed Resistance 3 isn’t sllighty higher. I though it would have been higher than Space Marine at least. Oh well 4th is still good.

Why did you think R3 would beat Space Marine? Being an all-format chart the Space Marine sales are across three platforms, PS3, 360 & PC.
Personally I’m surprised GT5 is up there at 10. It can’t solely be due to the copy I bought as a gift last week, so it’s doing well for an almost year-old title.

I know Warhammer has a large following, but for many people, including myself, it could be seen as a new IP, whereas Resistance has had two previous games for the brand to build recognition and bring in more fans.

Ah, didn’t realise last week was its first week at platinum. Glad I didn’t pay more for a normal copy the week before. :-)

The Red Dwarf reference brightened up my morning! I wonder if you guys could get ‘Ketchup on lobster?’ into a headline… I’m sorely tempted by Deus Ex, there’s some good deals going on.

I got an amazing deal for Deus Ex (as some of those on my friends list will attest to!) as i ended up spending no more than £2.50 for it! :)
Basically, i went into game (not expecting much) as i wanted to see how much i could get for a trade on inFamous 2 – It turned out that i could get £13 trade value for it…Unless i traded it for Deus Ex as they had an offer on where i could get £25 for it if i traded for that or maybe one other new(ish) game! Then the fact that Deus Ex was reduced to £30 & that i also had £2.50 on my game card, rounded it off to a nice £2.49.
Oh & i also got extra points on my card too (for some other promotion they had going on i guess), so i now have another £2.50 i can use!
They just couldn’t give me enough it seems! :D

Haha I love moments like that. Pretty much the exact same thing happened to me when I bought Marvel vs Capcom 3

This is what the chart should look like. New games that are actual games instead of fitness…things!
Nice to see Resistance and Dead Island doing well.
I personally couldnt get into Deus Ex so I traded in at HMV early enough to secure a £32 trade in, meaning I only have to find about a quid for Gears3 after my mates store discount :)

Havnt looked at one of these charts in quite a while. A quick run through shows i have owned (or currently own) 7 of these and that Lego is a franchise that is very popular.
Dont get why lego games are so good. And Zumba? A game for people who dont like walking in fresh air?
God im a cantankerous son of a….

I think it has more to do with the idea of doing exercise by dancing without having to pay for a 30€+ subscription at your local gym. I can see why people buy this. Fitness courses are pretty popular and you can do this in the comfort of your home and whenever you want.
I sometimes skip the gym because I don’t have enough time to drive to the gym, do my workout, shower and drive back. Cut out the driving and you save yourself some time. Why do you think people buy workout gear for their homes?

was meant to be a bit of a joke. I understand girls like to dance instead of go to the gym <<< another joke ;)
