Aliens: Colonial Marines Packshot Revealed

[drop2]SEGA have just sent over the official boxart for Aliens: Colonial Marines.  We like it, it’s exactly what it should be – a big picture of an Alien and – naturally – some Colonial Marines.

Kinda ticks all the boxes.

The press release says the game “will bring new levels of bone-chilling suspense and adrenaline-filled action to the renowned franchise” and has players “in claustrophobic environments guaranteed to produce blood curdling thrills that the movie is renowned for.”

Presumably there’s no dancing minigame, then.

The PR says that the game begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, the U.S.S. Sulaco, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew.

They will have to fight to survive unspeakable horrors and their own anxieties as they chase down the truth behind a galaxy-spanning deception that places humanity at the mercy of the most murderous and deadly species in the universe.

Aliens: Colonial Marines features authentic environments, such as the surface of LV-426 and Hadley’s Hope, weapons inspired by the film series and is designed to provide an exhilarating and engaging new chapter in the Aliens universe.

That’s all from SEGA, not us.

  1. The heading says release date re-confirmed, yet I can’t say any mention of release date in the article unless I’m being blind (which is a possibility!).

    • no it doesn’t say anything about release date, i was slightly confused by that as well :s

  2. The one in spaceballs did. :)

    • Its still as funny. I spat coffee out all over the cat the other night watching it on netflix.

    • I concur – Spaceballs is still ace, even after the amount of times i have seen it (which would probably be seen as unhealthy in some people’s eyes!).

  3. Just recently watched an 11 minute demo of this and I was extremely impressed. My interest has increased a lot for this game.
