THQ is back on top, with UFC Undisputed 3 claiming number one in the UK chart. The previous number one, Kingdoms of Amalur, plummets down to 12th place.
Both FF XIII-2 and the Darkness II also drop, whilst old faithfuls such as Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 are still hanging about, like old war veterans comparing stories and cussing the youngsters.
This week sees the release of Sony’s Vita, and we wonder what impact that will have on the charts.

I always thought it was Punch, kick? and who the hecks crazy to still fall for the latest Need for Speed trap?! awful

I wouldn’t say it’s the Need for Speed trap so much as it’s the only racing game in the top 20. I’m a racing game fan and I want to play it because there isn’t many racers to choose from. It needs to be the right price first though.

Regarding Vita sales for next week’s chart, I’m assuming we’ll only be able to see retail sales, not download sales for Vita games?
Gamoc
Yep, that’s usually how these things go, unfortunately.
cam the man
So we won’t be seeing many/any in the top 20.
damoxuk
I’d expect Uncharted to be in the top 10 (maybe) and going of pre-orders Rayman might actually chart well unlike the console version.
Gamoc
This is excellent news, the UFC games are awesome.
Unfortunately I can’t afford it right now. I’ve been playing the demo though, it’s excellent.

Not surprised to see KoA drop that many places. Really enjoyed the demo and tried to buy a copy only to find that it was OoS everywhere I went! Rather than being due to high sales however, the guys in the shops said they have barely received any copies whatsoever since launch day.
Sympozium
Wow.. I Seen AoA thought about it but went for The Darkness 2 instead as it be better since its short of course… but I’ve read Game having trouble getting stock of Tekken 3D but Koa.. that could be surprising?
Eldave0
Loved The Darkness and really enjoyed the D2 demo. Only reason I dont have a copy already is because its only about 6hours long. Seems a perfect game to pick up for about £20 over the summer :)
Sympozium
yeah I’m not keeping it for long but its a good game even if its Six hours I think that’s alright don’t want a FPS to be too long or else it’ll grow stale…
KeRaSh
The sales would have to come from somewhere, even if the shops only received limited amounts of stock. I thought it was pretty weird that it sold for almost 40 quid even if you preordered it. Usually games are around the 32-35 quid mark on Amazon.co.uk but it was around 37-38 when I ordered my copy.
MICKY17
Who the hell keeps buying Spyro?
Sympozium
nevermind that… what about Mario & Sonic?!
KeRaSh
I was thinking the same thing. It’s probably little kids who want it for the toys that come with it rather than real Spyro fans buying the game.
cam the man
Wonder when the last chart was without a Zumba game.
KeRaSh
Actually just recently: http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2012/02/06/uk-charts-fifa-knocked-off-the-top/
To be fair, they only listed the Top 10 that week… :P
cam the man
Must have missed the charts that week, but it was probably somewhere in the top 20.
Origami Killer
Surprised by UFC, nice to see it taking top spot. Good for THQ who have had a lot of rumours surrounding them recently.
