PS Vita Games Hit EU PSN Store Today, Full Details

Here we go – the PSN Store will open for business tonight and will be stocked with a massive pile of PS Vita games. As you’ll see below, there’s a decent array of titles at all kinds of prices, so hopefully everything you’re expecting is in there.

Ouch at FIFA and F1, but yay! for Ridge Racer’s bargain price.

For some reason it appears some publishers haven’t applied the 10% discount that other territories got, which is a real shame.  SCEE have discounted the first party games, though, even if Uncharted is still expensive at a penny under £40.

Let us know what you’re getting, though, eh?

  1. fantastic list of titles for release, shame that some of those publishers dont feel like pricing it a little closer to what I would like… even £40 for uncharted is a bit steep for me.

  2. Super Stardust and Motorstorm for me. Was always going to stick to retail pirchases for potential teade in and saved memory card costs. Need to wait for my pre-order saving on SSD tho

  3. The prices are a disappointment, but at least they resolve my indecision about whether to go download only or not – I’ll definitely be sticking with physical games outside of PSN exclusives and special offers.

  4. I have to wait until wednesday to get my vitamin, Amazon delayed my delivery angry..Also isn’t escape plan psn only?

    • Someone get this guy his pills before he gets angrier and breaks something

      • 1. da fuq? vitamins? 2. you are meant to have it on wednesday…

    • LOOL oh wait I meant say thursday lol my bad slow day slow start

  5. Prices like that and the tiny memory cards are why I’m buying boxed copies of games available at retail.

Still, Motorstorm, Super Stardust and Escape Plan will be bought. Not paying £9 to buy Plants vs. Zombies again though having already got it for PC and PS3. Wanted it for my Vita but not at that price.

    • Motorstorm and Escape Plan appeal to me too. They look perfect for pick-up-and-play on the Vita.

  6. Am I right in thinking a lot of the titles do actually have a discount? I seem to remember wipEout’s RRP being £35, and little deviants being £25

    • It looks like they’re doing most of the Sony titles at about £3-5 off RRP, which is roughly what the bricks and mortar stores do anyway.

    • Now that I’ve looked it up, that does seem to be the case. I find that quite surprising, actually. I remembered it differently.

Ah well. The 10% discount is intact. Shame about the original RRP now. Would’ve been nice to see Sony actually give retail a bit of decent competition!

  7. I’ll be getting Motorstorm RC & something to use my discount on (Escpae Plan or SSDelta, dunno yet). I’ll get my bigger games in retail.

  8. F1 2011 (£44.99/€49.99) ??

What are Ubisoft smoking? After the disaster that was the PS3 port of F1 2011 (compared to F1 2010) they must be having a laugh with that price surely?

    • Codemasters?

    • It’s £24.97 at Asda, with free shipping too. These digital prices are truly idiotic, I guess publishing/mass producing retail games is much cheaper than just uploading them to a server :crazy talk:

    • That’s Codemasters, not Ubi. All Ibi titles are discounted.

    • Ah thanks, yes, Codemasters. Either way, put down the crack pipe!

      • They’ve dropped the price to 31.99 now

  9. I’ve just signed up here to state how disappointed in these prices. I’ve seen Uncharted: GA for as little as £33 online, everyone knows that the prices on the PSN will nowhere near reflect what we’ll be seeing in store and online in a few weeks or so. By March i’ll probably be able to pick it up for just under £20 while it will remain £40 on the PSN store.

It’s the same with practically every game on this article too, Ninja Gaiden, Blazblue, Wipeout ….Wait all of them i’ve seen for £5-£10 cheaper online.

I remember back when Peace Walker was released for PSP and within a few weeks retail stores were selling it for £13 thanks to poor sales, it remained at £40 on the PSN store for what seemed like years.

I’ll pick up Stardust Delta and the DLC and Gravity Rush (thanks to the EU not getting a retail release), other than that i’m avoiding these digital versions as long as they’re much better value in store or from online retailers.

  10. Still getting Escape Plan and Motorstorm RC. Already got Modnation Racers (arrived on Saturday) for under £22.

The problem with PSN prices in the UK is that the online retailer pricing is really aggressive. The gap between the online prices and the high street will probably be quite large for the Vita games and the PSN prices will fall in between them.

What I’m really interested in is whether these prices will drop and prices drop in stores. Games often sit at high prices on the PSN store far longer than on the high street or online.
