PSN “Gamers’ Choice Awards 2012” Nominees Announced

The 2012 nominees for the PSN Gamers’ Choice Awards have been announced. Starting from tomorrow, in the US at least, you can head to the PlayStation Store and cast your vote for your favourite games in nine of the ten categories. Doing so will bag you a free Gamers’ Choice Awards XMB theme for each vote cast.

That’s not all, though:

“You can also cast your vote online in one special community category, Best PSN Indie, and you’ll receive a voucher code to be redeemed in the PlayStation Store for a free exclusive XMB theme.”

The winners of each category will be announced on March 6th, and will be discounted by 30% in the PlayStation Store for one week, with a 50% discount for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

  1. There’s some really good games missing from that list.

  2. I think it’s kind of funny that Tetris is a Best PSN Exclusive. I know that version is exclusive but still.

  3. Not particularly any PSN games I have enjoyed there :s Bit of an underwhelming list.

  4. Best PSone Classic:
    Chrono Trigger (PS3/PSP)
    Parasite Eve (PS3/PSP)
    Xenogears (PS3/PSP)

i’d like any of them to be honest, but not living in the us i probably never will.

    • Just make a US account?

    • Yep, just make a new PSN account, use some hotel in America as your address and buy a $50 PSN voucher on eBay, and you’re all sorted.

It wasn’t me who told you (unless it’s not frowned upon, in which case it was!)

      • i already have one, my summer house.
        on sesame street.
i say hi to big bird every morning.

funny thing, turns out sesame street is actually in Beverly Hills, the 90120 zip code. ^_^

anyway, i could do that, and maybe i will at some point, but i’d also like to be able to play the games on psp, and vita when i get one if they get the ps1 games working on that by then.
and using more than one account on psp is a pain, it looks like it’ll be more of a hassle, not to mention expensive needing two memory cards, on vita.

this comment has been brought to you by the letter E and the number 7.

  9. Apart from PJS2 i don’t see much on that list that i would vote for, hopefully if there’s a EU version of this it’ll reflect our more discerning palates! ……i did say hopefully.. ;)
