Capcom are fans of giving their retro fighters a new lick of paint and the company looks set to continue that trend with the announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom Origins.
Origins combines two of the most popular arcade games of the 90’s – Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes. It will be hitting XBLA and PSN this September for 1200 MSP/$14.99.
Much like Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 before it, MvsCO comes with integrated online play. It will also feature spectator modes, replay saving and also ‘dynamic’ challenges.

I can’t wait for the super hyper extreme awesome we are not milking this to death and are trying to go for the world record of having the longest title of a video game in the history of gaming edition of MVCO.
Looks decent but the price is too much.

My question is whether anyone would actually want to play either of these games online, given there are much more balanced fighters out there.

Hopefully this’ll be a Playstation Plus freebie!

Hopefully not, I’d rather have something that I haven’t played about 6 versions of already.

Interesting, but I think I’ll stick with the absolutely incredibly awesome Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on the Vita.
Might even pick up the PS3 version if I see it going cheap. Great game.
Simple controls are a Godsend for people who can’t play fighters (like me). Slowly learning proper controls as well, but still able to have fun while I do it.

I’m sure i recently heard about Capcom’s opinion on a saturated fighting gaming market, how Capcom believe that there is too many games out there this generation and its devaluing the genre.
And they release this….
