A video has appeared promoting PSN Play 2012, a US-based marketing deal that’ll see games given the chance to save on a number of new games.

The Expendables 2 Videogame (PS3), Sound Shapes (PS3 / PS Vita), Papo & Yo (PS3) and Counter Strike: Global Offensive (PS3) are all featured.

“Buy any 2 PLAY games in the PlayStation Store and get $3 credit back, buy any 3 PLAY games to get $6 credit, or pick up all 4 PLAY titles for a $10 credit to spend on anything you want in the PlayStation Store,” says the blurb.

Plus members can save even more money with a “PLAYtastic” 20% discount on each of the four games when pre-ordering or buying during a game’s launch week.

An official Blog post is expected soon.

  1. Ah yes, forgot about the PLAY promotion.

  2. All of those games look pretty neat, even The Expendables 2.

  3. Hope to see this in Europe.

Sound Shapes and Counter Strike for me!

I’ve no idea what Papa & Yo is other than the few seconds I just saw in that video, but if it’s any good (I see PS Move!) it’ll be bought too.

    • Papa & Yo is the one that intrigues me most out of that lot. In the developers words..”Well, the tale told in Papa & Yo is about myself and my father, a good man but also an evil one. Like many, he used alcohol and drugs to cope with a challenging life, and I was caught in the middle of it. The emotional core of this game is ultimately a fable about my relationship with my father.”

  4. So EU what do we get?

  5. Considering most of these games will probably appear as £59.99, even with the discounts I doub it will be cheaper than going through retail. And that’s if we see it this side of the pond.

  6. Really tempting with the buy anything on the store promotion (hopefully deep has a Vita game) Won’t even play two of the games much buts its a nice deal, hopefully it comes to SCEE.

  7. After the fiasco that was the original PLAY promotion I would think twice before signing up for this.

  8. counter strike with move support BRING IT ON!

  9. Quite few people have been asking about this on this weeks store update blog post … according to Jawad the will be no Play promotion in Europe this year although there will be some kind of summer sale in August.
