Amazon France List Silver PS3 Bundle

Amazon France have listed a new silver PlayStation 3 bundle.

The 320GB console will launch on August 14th, will cost €299.99 and will feature a shiny silver stand, a shiny silver controller and a not shiny, not silver copy of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

It has been rumoured that Sony were holding back the launch of the “PS3 Super Slim” due to high stock levels of current PS3 models so it seems an odd time to launch yet another (non standard) PS3 model onto the market.

  3. I managed to snag a brand new one of these with 2 controllers from Game a few months back for £150, wasn’t sure how the silver would look but I much prefer it to the black! The only thing I couldn’t find was the silver vertical stand so looks like i’ll need to import it!

    • I had to import my official Sony Slim stand for £30 from the US. Whilst I could have got a third party one for cheaper, it looks great! Annoyingly Amazon.com have them but you can’t buy certain things from their US site when you’re in the UK. It was stupid I couldn’t get one over here as it was when the PS3s got their price drop last year and were advertised everywhere, pictured with the vertical stand!!

  5. Why is there never any RPGs included in console bundles? As i swear that they never do them. It’s always a FPS. Anyway, the PS3 silver looks decent and i bloody hope it won’t be another dust magnet. *looks at his fat black 80GB PS3 that keeps getting covered in dust despite how many times i get rid of the dust*

    Suspect it will be an utter bar steward when it is sunny due to the sun reflecting off it and straight into your face thus causing you to die on a boss that you have been trying to defeat for the past month just as you are about to kill it. Plus 300 euros is a bit too much as you can get 320GB PS3s for less then that i think. :)

    • I don’t think it would be the best marketing strategy if they started bundling PS3’s with rocket launchers.

      • But a lot of FPS gamers would love a real rocket launcher. :p Why not just include nerf versions of RPGs? ;)

  6. €299.99? That still looks/sounds to much to your normal buyer :-/ Come on SONY a €199.99 Euro PS3 would fly off the shelf big time! ! ! :P (+ a £149 UK + $199 US PS3)

  7. Well this pretty much kills every chances of seeing the super slim on Gamescom, guess Sony do need to empty stock of the old ones first.
