Killzone Mercenary Dodges GTA V, Shifts Release Date

Come at me, bro.

Despite initial bravado from the Killzone studio, the developers have managed to get the game away quicker than expected, and now Mercenary, the PS Vita exclusive, will release two weeks earlier.

So that’s the 6th of September.

Sony have today also announced the details of two pre-order goodies. The first boosts your experience points for two days, and gives you some cash to start with.

Anyone pre-ordering will also be able to pick the ISA M224-A1 Light Machine Gun. It seems that you can only go for one of the two, though, which is a bit stingy.

Yeah how about you come at THIS!? HUH?! Clean yourself up, you’re pathetic…

Er… smack talk aside, actually I have some hopes for this one. It’d be good to get a passable FPS this time around, Lord knows VITA needs one.

Not a huge fan of FPS myself any more and not on portable devices at all but I recognise the necessity and I could be swayed if it’s fun.

      I’d swap a hundred Vita FPS’s for a 2D Castlevania game.

Got it pre-ordered at Shopto for just under £30.

Looks to be a top game.

But moving release date is wise even if they aren’t competitors (on’es on 360/ps3 and is action/adventure) other is vita only and is a FPS).

However of course people would be playing GTA5 rather than on there Vita’s.

A demo or beta before the 6th of September would do some good, the trailer fails to impress.

Hopefully this will be the game that shows FPS can be a good fit for the Vita – if so, we can probably expect a few more FPS for Vita – if not, it might be the last, which would be a shame as i was really hoping that the Vita might eventually allow me to play the likes of Half Life or Red Faction on a handheld.
