Community Round-Up: 25/05/13

It’s been a busy week, especially with the Xbox One reveal! It definitely wasn’t what we were expecting, and it seems a lot of people are pretty disappointed with it. E3’s only a few weeks around the corner though, so it’s not long until all our questions are (hopefully) answered! Anyway, let’s see what else has been happening on TSA in this week’s Community Round-Up!

It’s been a little while since we’ve had a competition on TSA, but hopefully this one will make up for it. We’ve got a lovely piece of Velocity Ultra artwork from FuturLab to give away, and all you’ve got to do is grab the art assets provided, and see what you can come up with!

The Community Team’s also been busy preparing this year’s TSA E3 Bingo, so keep your eyes peeled for that to appear in the next week or two.

At the moment, Motalla’s holding down the fort with the only 2 meets scheduled so far for this week. On Sunday night at 8pm, you can take to the streets of Paradise City in the Burnout Meet, or get ready to kick some zombie ass in Dead Rising 2 at 7pm on Thursday.

I’m sure a few more meets will pop up during the week, like Friday night’s usual Battlefield Meet and Monday’s GT5 shenanigans, or you can create your own meet, as long as you’ve got 250 TSA Points.

From the Reviews, Blair gave a 7/10 to Men’s Room Mayhem for Vita, while another game to receive 7/10 was Pool Nation, reviewed by Aran. Teflon’s been busy previewing as usual, this time with The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, and a chat with Nico Bihary, Senior Producer on the game.

TSA’s been a little bit quieter without the usual features, but that’s understandable given all the news this week. Anyway, on a happy note, TSAtv returned for a special episode for the Xbox One which nicely rounds up everything if you missed the conference, and Microsoft’s PR message was the focus of Kris article.

Although Microsoft went on and on and on about TV with the One, Blair was quick to point out how Sony already ticked that one off the list with PlayTV. In this week’s Indie Focus, Origami Killer looked at the puzzle/explorer game, Kario, while Aran continued his Matter of Perspective series with Binary Domain.

TonyCawley and theshockwave sent in some pics of their gaming rigs for the Chronicle, while Sleeping Dogs received over 20 ‘Buy It’ votes in this weeks WeView Verdict. Meanwhile, Just Cause 2 jumped into the hot seat and becomes the next game for you to leave your thoughts on.

There were two new Podcasts this week, the usual Episode 101, and a special discussion for the Xbox One. And last, but by no means least, Tuffcub appeared to get his capslock key stuck in What We Played #106, which was brought to us by Greg.

No points for guessing, the Forums this week are mainly full of discussion about the new Xbox.

And that’s it. What a week it’s been!

I’ll see you next time, bye!

If so, that’s one expensive game.
