With Rime and The Witness, Sony are delivering some beautiful experiences akin to Journey and Flower (oh, and that’s coming too) on the PS4. We’ve seen plenty of Rime’s beauty before, but these new screenshots of The Witness are really something special.
The Witness isn’t going to be your usual small indie title either: Jonathan Blow, the game’s creator says there’s around 25-40 hours of content, as you explore a mysterious island which he describes as “the biggest and most-intricate world ever built for a puzzle game”, so it’s going to much more expansive than his previous game, Braid.
The Witness is expected to release early next year for PS4, PC and iOS.

Getting this game; looks great. Much like Myst by the looks of it, and Myst is a great game. I hope it is as good as it looks.

A puzzle game up to 40 hours long?
It’ll need to be really varied to pull it off. I’d struggle to even finish a game like Portal if it went on that long!

Some of those scenes look nice but i still have no idea what the game mechanics are or how it will play.
