Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition Patch Fixes Online Bugs

It was unfortunate, but when Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition hit the PS4 earlier this month it didn’t just bring with it the excellent gameplay of the PS3 original, but was similarly plagued by issues with the online features.

After a few weeks of bug hunting, I noticed that patch 1.02 has arrived to fix those problems, when I turned on my PS4 today.

The patch notes were as follows:

  • Fixed a crash that occurred in the instance that SEN accounts have more than 100 friends.
  • Fixed a synchronization issue that caused players to be disconnected during online games.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed other players to join Private games.
  • Broadcast+ now accepts votes in lower case and vote effects are now reset on player death.
  • Updated audio libraries to fix an issue where audio could be lost during Broadcast+ and video capture.

There was also a little apology attached to the patch notes:

We apologise to all players that have experienced problems and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that submitted crash logs, without which, it could have taken us much longer to address several of the points noted above.

So, if you were put off by errors before, it could well be time to wade back into the hordes of zombies. Maybe even take part in our latest Plus Point Challenge?

  1. Good. I’ll give this a proper bash now.

  2. Good to see the crash logs are helping devs pin down issues sooner rather than layer.

  3. I’ve not had any problems, but it’s good to know the Dev’s have got these issues sorted out.

  4. I confirm that my copy no longer crashes after every level! Woo!

  5. Good to know, i’ve been playing it offline so i haven’t had any errors but it was taking over a minute to access the servers and load the rankings so hopefully that’s fixed too.

  6. Pleased to hear this. No excuse not to enter the plus point challenge now!
