Ether One To Get Physical Release On PS4 & PC This September

White Paper Games has announced that Ether One will be getting a physical release this September, and will be available on both PC & PS4. The game hasn’t made it to the Xbox One and it isn’t likely to any time soon. Ether One’s physical edition will be available in both a standard or steel case edition, and will contain language support for French, German, Spanish, Italian & Japanese, as well as the standard English.

Ether One tackles the issue of dementia by tasking players to reconstruct the memories of a 69 year old woman, named Jean Thompson. It is a puzzle and exploration game, and it was recently available to PS Plus subscribers for free in May. There are some bugs contained within the game, but White Paper Games aims to have those ironed out by the time of the physical release.

  1. Will this include the game breaking bugs as the digital version? Even after the patch it was still broke.

    • The patch? There has been 4 or 5 patches of the game, which off course is not optimal, but it’s from a small developer. The latest one seems to have the game stable, so yeah the physical copy is properly the updated version.

  2. After the latest patch to fix inputting text, it seems to be running smoothly. I have been able to proceed to brimcliff mines and industrial centre without a glitch.

  3. Glad to hear the issues have been patched, i’ll have to give it another go.

  4. This is actually a fantastic game, and you should really consider giving it a second try! The patches have certainly helped ironing out a lot of the bugs, and it was certainly possible to platinum after the first patch.
The story and atmosphere is really great, but of course not necessarily to everyones taste.
