I wasn’t sure of Sony’s PlayLink system initially, but I’m seeing more and more interesting uses for using mobile apps as an alternative control input. Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier is just one game making use of PlayLink, though obviously DualShock 4 is also an option, and it will be coming out on 21st November for PlayStation 4 – other platforms will follow at a later date. The game will be £15.99/€19.99/$19.99 USD.
It’s set between the two most recent Planet of the Apes films, telling a unique story within this world as a graphic adventure. However, where other games like The Walking Dead give you direct control over the characters at various times, Last Frontier focuses you in on the decisions in the conversations and story, going further than that to allow up to four people to play and progress the story democratically with all of you voting on the decisions to make.
“Our aim is to bring new depth to choice-based adventure and offer that to our audience as an immersive, cinematic experience,” said Andy Serkis, Founder of The Imaginarium. “I’m proud to say that Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier does just that, combining the merits of both premier performance capture and next-generation story-telling.”
In the meantime, two new trailers introduce us to Khan and Clarence.

Do we know if this is being released in Disc or digital only?
JR.
Digital only. Meh.
Digital only… weak. Digital and Disc… stronger together.
