On The Stores This Week: 30/09/09

First up is Creat’s remix of the classic 80’s Digger for the PS3, aptly titled Digger HD – it’s due this week for the American Store, and next for us Europeans.  It’s looking lovely, and whilst appears to be the sort of HD update of an old game we’re more used to seeing on the Xbox 360 Marketplace, it’s certainly a welcome addition to the PlayStation Network and more of these sorts of things would be most welcome.

There’s also a demo coming (or already out, depending on your console of choice) for Brutal Legend, which by all accounts has been incredibly well received.  Tim Schafer’s guitar swinging instant classic should be first on your download list, despite the 1.57GB download size, and if you’re only a Silver Xbox Live member remember that this and the amazing Forza 3 demo can be yours to sample from tomorrow.

Uncharted 2 fans will also be delighted to hear that the PlayStation Store, as of last night, was playing host to the fully unlocked multiplayer demo meaning that everyone that didn’t get into the various betas can now sample the online portion of the game for themselves, including the photo portion of the awesome machinima mode which enables you to ultimately create your own movies using the in-game assets, which will prove very popular, we’re sure.

Of course, tomorrow is the launch of the PSPgo, so aside from our unboxing shots yesterday we’ve already covered what we think will happen to that side of the PlayStation Store tomorrow – including ‘launch’ titles such as Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe and the amazing God of War: Chains of Olympus but just remember to grab your free copy of Gran Turismo PSP when you pick up your new console, and grab some of those Minis for us, too.

Xbox 360 owners will be able to grab a demo of NBA 2K10 which will feature the 2009 NBA Finals matchup and on the Arcade three titles have hit: Bust A Move, Football Genius and Military Madness and don’t forget that Fable II has been serialised with the first segment (the time you spend as a child, we think) available for free so if you’ve not yet played the wonderful RPG you no longer have any excuse not to at least give it a go.

Let’s hope we get .detuned here in Europe tomorrow on the PS3, but rest assured we’ll have the full official list as soon as we get it.
